Visiting & ordering

Where are you?: Ferox Feed is located at Bois de Rose Avenue, Victoria, Mahé.
Do you deliver to Praslin and La Digue?: Yes. Call 432-5123 to confirm pricing, delivery dates and your preferred boat. Transport slings are available for purchase.
When are chicks available?: Broiler and layer chicks are available at selected times yearly. Orders can be placed by calling 432-5123 / 250-4844, or by visiting the office. The confirmed 2026 dates are on the day-old chicks page.

What farming equipment do you stock?: Poultry feeders, drinkers, vitamins, supplements and other farm supplies.
Do you sell pet products?: Yes — dog food and selected pet products are stocked.

What is the difference between broiler and layer chickens?: Broiler chickens are raised for meat production, while layer chickens are raised for egg production.
Why do modern broilers grow so fast?: Improved genetics, precise nutrition and better farm management — not hormones.

Does Ferox Feed contain growth hormones?: No. Absolutely not. Ferox Feed contains no synthetic steroid hormones.
How long does feed stay fresh?: Storage conditions determine shelf life. In cool, dry conditions feed remains nutritious for up to four months. But Seychelles is hot and humid, so for peak nutrition feed should be used within 30–45 days from the date of manufacture. We produce feed weekly, locally, for exactly this reason.

Mash, crumbles and pellets are the same nutrition in three physical forms. The right one depends on the bird, not the budget.

Crumbles	Young chicks	Broken pellet. Small enough for a chick to handle, denser than mash.
